The National Weather Service Has Issued a Heat Advisory for
Atascosa, Bastrop, Bexar, Burnet, Caldwell, Comal, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Lavaca, Lee, Llano, Travis, Williamson, and Wilson Counties
(An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely. Advisories are for less serious conditions than warnings, that cause significant inconvenience and if caution is not exercised, could lead to situations that may threaten life or property.)

Heat Advisory issued August 19 at 10:52AM CDT until August 23 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Temperatures up to 104 and heat index values up to 110 expected.
* WHERE...The northern Hill Country, I-35 Corridor, and Coastal Plains.
* WHEN...From 2 PM Thursday to 7 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.
